There are differences depending on how the slide tables are connected.
● The MY series mechanically jointed rodless cylinder: Video
For MY series mechanically jointed type cylinders, there is an opening in part of the cylinder pipe that allows for a slide table to be connected to the piston. There is a seal belt in the opening that allows for the cylinder to be sealed from the inside. Since a seal belt on its own tends to come off inside the table and is easily affected by the ambient atmosphere, there is also a dust seal band to protect the seal belt and piston seal. A small amount of air will constantly leak because complete sealing cannot be achieved due to the construction of the product. The operating speed ranges from 80 to 100 mm/s to the high-speed range. Air cushions and shock absorbers are available.
● The CY series magnetic rodless cylinder: Video
CY series magnetic type cylinders operate the piston with a strong magnet installed in the cylinder pipe, which drives the slide table by attracting it with magnetic force. The operating pressure must be carefully monitored because the magnets inside and outside the cylinder are magnetically coupled. There is no external air leakage like with the mechanically jointed type. The operating speed ranges from 50 to 70 mm/s to medium speed.
