What is the difference between CA1 series and CA2 series cylinders?
-
The CA2 series was released in 2002, and the CA1 series was discontinued a few years later in 2005. The mounting dimensions of the CA2 series cylinder body are the same as those of the CA1 series. The main changes are as follows:
1) The product was made non-lube as standard.
2) The shape of the cushion valve was changed.
3) The color of the cover, etc., was changed.
Regarding the part number, since the CA1 series had both a lube and a non-lube type cylinder, an “N” had to be added to the part number for the non-lube type. However, such identification was no longer required for the CA2 series. Furthermore, in August 2012, the CA2-Z series, which is a refreshed CA2 series, was released. The catalog can be found here.
