What is the difference between the old CQ2/CDQ2 series and the new CQ2-Z/CDQ2-Z series, and are the cylinders interchangeable? In particular, when replacing a CDQ2B32-30D for maintenance, is the current part number interchangeable with the new one?

The CQ2 series (up to bore size ø100) was discontinued in October 2009, and the CQ2 series large bore size type cylinder was discontinued in April 2011. While the auto switch mounting rail and groove on the cylinder body have been changed, the cylinder mounting dimensions, specifications, and seals have remained unchanged.

The current part number for the old CDQ2B32-30D is “CDQ2B32-30DZ.” For this product, the auto switch mounting rail on the body has been changed to a round auto switch mounting groove. Cylinder body mounting is possible. A mounting bracket may be required if the auto switch in use is to be used as is. Check the auto switch model first. When ordering 2 rail-mounted auto switches (D-A7 □, A8□, F7□, or J7□□), they will be shipped with 2 mounting brackets if ordered using the part number “CDQ2B32-30DZ-BQ.”
