Refer to “Pneumatic Circuit” in the “Specific Product Precautions” in the catalog of each series.
Use a circuit in which both sides of the piston are balanced by a regulator with a backflow function to prevent cylinder lurching when restarting after a lock stop or when the manual lock is released. Whether the product is mounted horizontally or vertically, the use of a regulator with a backflow function is recommended because there is a difference in the pressure receiving area between the extension side and the retraction side of the cylinder.
It is recommended that 2 pressure center valves or 2 3-way valves be used for driving a lock cylinder. The closed center type is not recommended because the cylinder stops without air balance, which may cause the stop position to become unstable or cause lurching when the cylinder is restarted.
