Can CB□ series end lock cylinders be operated with 3-position valves?
-
Operating with a 3-position valve is not recommended for the following reasons.
For the closed center perfect type (the type that traps air)
1) If energization is cut quickly at the stroke end, there is a possibility that locking will not occur as the air on the lock mechanism side has not had time to be exhausted completely.
2) If internal leakage of the valve or leakage of the piston seal occurs, air may collect around the lock mechanism, and the lock may be released.
For the pressure center type
1) When air is supplied to both sides at the center position, the lock is released.
