If the thread size is the same, can a JT series lightweight and compact type floating joint be used with a cylinder with a female rod end thread by changing the joint’s mounting direction?

No, it cannot be used in this manner. This product is for use with JCM series cylinders with a male rod end thread.
The JT20 M8 x 1.25 is for use with a bore size ø20 JCM series cylinder with a male rod end thread. It cannot be used with a bore size ø40 JCM series cylinder with a female rod end thread.
