What does the “Z” after the stroke in an MB series air cylinder part number mean?
-
The MB series was discontinued in September 2013, and the MB1 series was discontinued in April 2015.
Refreshed MB and MB1 series products have a “Z” after the stroke in the part number. Keep in mind that no changes were made to the mounting dimensions.
The features of the MB-Z series can be found here.
The main changes made to refreshed MB□ series cylinders are as follows.
The seal kit (maintenance part) has been changed.
The MBB series air cylinder with an end lock has not been refreshed, and so the existing product is still in production (as of May 2018).
It is recommended that MB□Q series low-friction air cylinders be switched to an MB□□Y.
If a product with the special order part number suffix “-XC6” (made of stainless steel) is required, select the “-XC68” (made of stainless steel (with hard chrome plated piston rod)) instead.
