Is it possible to use CE1 or CEP1 series stroke reading cylinders in environments where they may be exposed to water or oil droplets?

No, CE1 and CEP1 series cylinders are not suitable for use in environments where they may be exposed to liquids.
While CEP1 series cylinders are equipped with a scraper to prevent liquids from adhering to the rods and entering the inside of the cylinder, even the scraper cannot prevent this entirely.
Fluororubber seals can also be selected, which makes the CEP1 more water resistant than the CE1.
For bore sizes ø32 to ø63 of the CE1 series, a scraper can be added as a special order.

The sensor part in particular needs to be protected by a cover, etc., if the product may be exposed to liquids in the operating environment.
