The material of the MY series seal belt has been changed to improve air sealing performance. The change was made in March 2015 for bore sizes ø16 and ø20 of the MY3 series; June 2015 for bore sizes ø25, ø32, ø40, and ø50 of the MY3 series; and October 2015 for bore sizes ø16, ø20, ø25, ø32, ø40, and ø50 of the MY1 and MY2 series. Before replacing the seal belt for maintenance, check the actual product and refer to the contents below.
① The new and old seal belts of bore size ø25 MY1 and MY2 series cylinders are not interchangeable. For pre-change cylinders, order the old seal belt.
② When replacing the seal belts of bore size ø32 and ø40 MY1 and MY2 series pre-change cylinders as well as bore size ø40 and ø50 MY3 series pre-change cylinders, order a belt clamp with the seal belt.
③ For new MY1, MY2, and MY3 series cylinders, only the new seal belt needs to be ordered.
④ The min. operating pressure of new bore size ø16 and ø20 cylinders has been changed as well (0.15 MPa for the MY1B, MY1C, MY1H, and MY series and 0.2 MPa for the MY1M and MY3 series).
⑤ For further details on obtaining old seal belts, contact your local SMC sales representative and ask about old seal belt part numbers.
