|Air Preparation Filters
-
Air dryers and water separators can be used for similar applications, but they have different functions. There are 2 types of "moisture" contained in compressed air: the first is water droplets, commonly called drain, and the other is water vapor.
To only remove water droplets, use an AMG series water separator.
To remove water vapor (dehumidify), use an ID□ series air dryer.
“Dry air” refers to air that has been dehumidified by an air dryer. Note that water separators cannot remove water vapor, so if the temperature drops in subsequent pipes, water droplets will be generated. In such cases, use an air dryer that can remove water vapor.
