How is drain discharged from AFF, AM, AMD, AMH, and AMG series filters?
-
There are 2 types of filters: 1 type has a drain cock (manual discharge) and the other has an auto drain (automatic discharge). The auto drain type has a float type auto drain, which can either be normally open (N.O.) or normally closed (N.C.). Refer to “Auto drain FAQ” for details on the operating state and usage.
For filters with a drain cock, loosen the discharge port knob on the bottom of the case to discharge the drain. After discharge, return the knob to its original position. Manual operation is also possible for the auto drain type. Loosen the knob on the drain port until it points to “O” (OPEN) to discharge the drain. After discharge, return the knob to “S” (SHUT) by retightening it.
