|Air Preparation Filters
-
Each type of air preparation device has its own intended use (moisture removal, solid matter/oil separation, deodorization, etc.). Please refer to the AM□ and AFF series product specifications below.
The nominal filtration ratings of the elements of each device installed allow for the compressed air required for the application to be created in stages. To remove oil mist, an element with a high nominal filtration rating is required, but if there is no prefilter, the element will get clogged much more quickly.
The compressed air supplied to an AM series filter is assumed to have been filtered to some extent by upstream devices. Devices after the AM series filter do not actively remove water. The foreign matter which adheres to the element and then accumulates at the bottom of the case can be removed by draining it, but what can be removed is the oil mist or fine solid particles that weren’t caught by the main line filter.
As steam is a gas, it cannot be removed by filtering. Various types of air dryers are required to dehumidify the air.
