Set the pressure using the knob by moving it in the upward direction while checking the pressure indicated on the pressure gauge (outlet side).
After setting the pressure, be sure to lock the knob. Moving the knob in the downward direction may cause the pressure to drop below the initial setting.
The knob rotates clockwise to increase pressure and counterclockwise to decrease pressure.
The setting range of the outlet pressure is 85% or less of the inlet pressure.
Setting above 85% will leave the product susceptible to fluctuations in flow rate and inlet pressure, and operation may become unstable.
The pressure of the regulator decreases when air is consumed on the downstream side, but it returns to the set pressure when consumption stops.
Refer to the “Flow Rate Characteristics” graphs in the AR series catalog to calculate how much the outlet pressure will drop from the set pressure.
A moving image of a direct operated regulator (relief type) can be seen here.
