Is it normal for air to be constantly leaking from the PE port of a VEX1 □3□ series precision regulator?

Yes, it is normal. For VEX1 □3□ series regulators, air is constantly released from the PE port (bleed port). This air consumption is a necessary part of the precision regulator’s construction. It has a construction that maintains its sensitivity and accuracy by constantly bleeding a small amount of inlet pressure (pilot pressure). Be sure to leave it open as if the PE port is blocked, normal pressure setting cannot be performed.
Note 1) Air consumption is approx. 9.5 L/min (ANR) [at a supply pressure of 1.0 MPa].
Note 2) If there is an abnormal amount of air leakage from the PE port, the diaphragm may be damaged.
