What is the difference between new and old VM100/200 series mechanical valves? Also, are they interchangeable?

The old VM100/200 series was discontinued in December 2013.
The weight of the current product (new type) has been reduced compared to the existing product (old type) by changing the shape of the body.
In addition, it is interchangeable with the existing model (old type).
For the current product, there is an “A” added in the part number.
