Check the following to determine the cause.
① Check whether a differential input or an open collector input is used as the pulse input signal. The open collector input has a low accepted current value, so it is necessary to connect a current limiting resistor. After confirming which is selected for the positioning module (pulse oscillator), connect a current limiting resistor for the open collector type. (Refer to the pulse input circuit and parallel I/O connector wiring examples in the operation manual, which can be found here.)
② If an open collector type is being used, check if the length of the I/O cable is either 3 m or 5 m. The length of the I/O cable for the open collector type can only be 1.5 m. (Refer to the “How to Order” section in the operation manual, which can be found here.)
③ Check if the same method is selected for both the positioning unit (pulse oscillator) and the pulse signal. For the LEC-W2 controller setting kit, check the parameter value of “Options set 1” at the bottom of the parameter window with the setting software (ACT controller). For the LEC-T1 teaching pendant, check the parameter value by going from “Parameter” to “Basic Parameter” to “Options set 1” in the normal mode menu. For the parameter value of the pulse input method, refer to “Setting ‘Options set 1’” in the “Basic parameters” section in the operation manual, which can be found here.
