Do LAT3 series card motors require a terminating resistor when run using serial communication?
-
Yes, a terminating resistor is required. The LATCA series card motor controller communication circuitry does not have a built-in terminating resistor.
If there is no terminating resistor, there will be interference during communication.
An SMC terminating resistor (LEC-CGR) can be ordered, or a terminating resistor can be prepared separately by the customer.
Note) “LEC-CGR” is an optional part number of SMC’s gateway unit (LEC-G).
