Which speed controller can be used to adjust the speed of a single acting cylinder?

Use a speed controller with meter-in control. Since there is no compressed air on the spring side of single acting cylinders, meter-out control cannot be performed. If speed control is required on both the extension and retraction sides of the cylinder, install a meter-in and meter-out speed controller in series.
