Can AQ series quick exhaust valves be used to prevent condensation in cylinders?
-
This product may be used to prevent condensation in small-capacity actuators and air operated valves. Air pressure entering and leaving the piping is cooled by rapid expansion, which causes the water vapor in the piping to condense, generating mist. The exhaust of a small-capacity actuator is not capable of completely pushing this mist out of the solenoid valve, so the mist remaining in the piping will be pushed back when more air pressure is applied. This mist will continue to accumulate and will eventually become water droplets. The quick exhaust valve allows for the discharging of this mist directly to the atmosphere without passing through the valve.
※There is also a moisture control tube that allows for the condensation in the pipes to pass through and be discharged. The IDK series moisture control tube catalog can be found here.
