What happens when the pressure on the OUT side becomes higher than the pressure on the IN side for N.C. type VX series 2-way valves?

The valves open and flow backward even when the power is turned OFF. There is either a “1” or a “2” on the piping ports of the 2-way valve. The port with a “1” on it is the IN side (high-pressure side).
