Is it possible to retrofit an auto switch to an XL□ series high-vacuum angle valve?
-
If the valve is the type which has an optional magnet mounted on the piston part inside the bonnet, an auto switch can be retrofitted.
As the auto switch needs to sense the magnetic force of the magnet to output a signal, the switch will not operate if retrofitted to a valve without a magnet mounted on the piston.
The new XL□ series catalog can be found here.
An auto switch can be retrofitted in the following cases.
① When the part number on the nameplate of the product indicates it has an auto switch (e.g., XLA-40-2M9NA, etc.)
② When there is no auto switch but a magnet is mounted on the piston part (e.g., XLA-40-2M9// etc.)
Note) For the retrofitting of a heat-resistant auto switch, please check the other FAQs.
An auto switch cannot be retrofitted when a magnet is not mounted on the piston part (e.g., XLA-40-2 and XLA-40H5-2).
