|Industrial Filters/Sintered Metal Element

The “Sieve” and “Opening” values in the “Raw material categories and nominal filtration accuracy (μm)” table below are the values of the metal mesh that sieves the raw material powder, not the values of the elements.
Example) Elements with a nominal filtration accuracy of 120 μm are sintered by gathering raw material powder that passes through #20 mesh with 850 μm openings and gets caught in #24 mesh with 710 μm openings.
Mesh: The size is determined by how many wires are present per inch (2.54 cm) of the metal mesh.
Opening: For details on the size (edge length) of the square holes of the metal mesh and the filtration rating of fluids, refer to the “Nominal filtration accuracy and 95% removable particle sizes” table below.
Since “mesh” is used to indicate the size of particles that the metal mesh can filter, the nominal filtration accuracy is used to indicate the size of particles that the sintered metal can filter. Filtration using metal mesh is done by blocking particles, and sintered elements filter by deep filtration, etc., in addition to blocking particles. Therefore, it is difficult to select an equivalent product.
