The NDL LED of an IZN10/10E series ionizer turned ON (orange for the IZN10 or green for the IZN10E) indicating a maintenance warning immediately after the power was turned ON.
However, as there was no emitter contamination or wear, what are the other possible causes of this, and what can be done to remedy it?

Confirm that the ground terminal is grounded (100 Ω or less).
The ground terminal is used to obtain the reference potential for neutralization, so if it is not grounded, the discharge amount of the emitter may become unstable and the number of ions generated may decrease. In addition, even when the main unit power is ON without air purge, the discharge of the electrode needle may become unstable and the NDL LED may light up. Make sure that there is no foreign matter or water droplets in the compressed air.
