Generally, it is calculated using Weston’s formula. (Note 1) According to this formula, multiply the following values by the piping length (□m) to get the piping resistance.
Approx. 0.0035 MPa/m for a port size 15A thermo-chiller (Note 2), approx. 0.0026 MPa/m for a port size 20A thermo-chiller (Note 2), and approx. 0.0022 MPa/m for a port size 25A thermo-chiller (Note 2). However, SMC does not design or install piping systems. For more information, consult a qualified piping designer.

Note 2) The standard flow rates are as follows: 22.5 L/min for port size 15A, 40 L/min for port size 20A, and 65 L/min for port size 25A.
