The alarm code is generated to warn the user of the worst possible outcome: in this case, there is the risk of explosion in the piping or equipment if the circulating fluid pressure remains too high.
To avoid such dangers, HRS series thermo-chillers can be set to continue or stop operation at the time of alarm generation.
The default setting for alarm code “AL08” is continued operation, and for alarm code “AL06,” it is set to stop operation safely (Note 1).
If these functions have been activated, check the external piping for bending, pinching, or clogging with foreign matter, and take appropriate measures. If the external piping resistance is too large, consider installing a bypass piping set. If a bypass piping set has already been installed and there is a valve, open it according to the situation and use it safely while relieving the circulating fluid discharge pressure.
However, if the same alarm or multiple alarms are generated frequently, please contact your local SMC sales office.
Note 1) These are the default settings of the HRS050. The operating settings can be changed by the user.
The default setting for alarm code “AL08” is stop operation for the HRS090 to 200.
