What is the linked self-holding supply valve and release valve operation of ZK2 series vacuum units?
-
This valve is a pilot valve. It is a dual 2-port valve that opens and closes 2 built-in main valves (two 2-port valves, a supply valve and a release valve). The linked supply valve and release valve operation is as follows.
[Initial state] Supply valve: Closed, Release valve: Closed
[Operation 1] Supply pilot valve: ON (Even if the supply valve is opened with pilot air and the supply pilot valve is turned OFF, the supply valve is kept open (called self-holding).)
[Operation 2] Release pilot valve: ON (The release pilot valve is opened with pilot air, and the supply valve is pushed back to the closed position when the release valve is operated in the left direction of the figure (called release valve interlock).)
Energization of the supply pilot valve can be performed either instantaneously or continuously. However, when continuously energizing, make sure that the supply pilot valve is turned OFF at the same time the release pilot valve is turned ON. Otherwise, it may cause failure of the release valve to operate normally or the supply valve to not turn OFF.
