The lifting force of a vacuum pad can be obtained from the calculation formula as well as from the theoretical lifting force table.
Calculation formula:
W = P x S x 0.1 x 1/t
(W: Lifting force(N), P: Vacuum pressure(Kpa), S: Area of the pad(cm²), and t: Safety factor of 4 or more for horizontal lifting and 8 or more for vertical lifting)
Theoretical lifting force table:
The theoretical lifting force can be found using the pad diameter and vacuum pressure.
It does not include the safety factor, so divide the theoretical lifting force by the safety factor “t” to obtain the lifting force.
Lifting force = theoretical lifting force ÷ t
