Are there any ZP series vacuum pads that don’t leave adsorption marks on the workpieces?
-
As vacuum pads are made of rubber and come in direct contact with workpieces, there are always some adsorption marks left behind.
Marks that can be left behind by adsorption:
1. Marks caused by workpiece deformation at the time of adsorption
2. Marks caused by the transfer of the components contained in the rubber material of the pad to the workpiece
3. Marks caused by the adherence of dust from the surrounding environment to the pad or the workpiece
4. Marks caused by the adherence of dust to the pad or the workpiece
Countermeasures:
1. Reduce the vacuum pressure. (Increase the number of pads if the lifting force is insufficient.)
2. Select pads with a small center space (area).
3. Change the material to NBR. 4. Use ZP2 series fluororesin pads or a resin attachment.
Adsorption marks cannot be eliminated entirely; however, if the pad is made of silicone or urethane (white or brown) rubber, the adsorption marks may not be as noticeable.
Please confirm whether they can be used or not using the actual device.
