The max. number of years or cycles (life) is not stipulated for vacuum pads.
When vacuum pads are used, the suction surface wears and the external surface gradually gets smaller. In addition, the lifting force decreases as the pad diameter gets smaller. It is very difficult to determine when a vacuum pad will need to be replaced.
This is because the timing is influenced by the surface roughness, operating environment (temperature, humidity, Ozone, use of solvents, etc.), and operating conditions (vacuum pressure, workpiece weight, pressure on the vacuum pad, presence/absence of a buffer, etc.). (In the case of bellows pads, the bent portion may become loose, worn, or start to stick).
Therefore, determine when to replace the vacuum pad by comparing its current state to its state before it was used.
Note) The pad connection may become loose depending on the operating conditions and environment. Be sure to perform regular maintenance.
