What are the possible causes of an ITV series electro-pneumatic regulator making abnormal sounds?
-
Since the solenoid valves for supply and exhaust are built into the regulator and are pulse-controlled, if the set pressure and the actual pressure differ, ON/OFF repeatedly occurs in order to return to the set pressure.
The abnormal sounds are most likely the operating sounds of the solenoid valves. A sound can be heard during the pressure setting operation, but the sound stops when outlet air consumption stops and the set pressure is reached.
